Getting Started

Setting Up 1st Admin

  1. Reach out to your Account Manager with the following information:

      • First name

      • Last name

      • Email address

      • Username of your desired admin

  2. Once your Account Manager confirms the admin has been set up, go to team.framer.com and enter your email address

  3. You’ll receive a magic link via email

  4. Click the magic link to log in to Framer X

  5. Once logged in you can add a second admin, add users, assign seats, and un-assign seats whenever you need to

Adding a 2nd Admin

A second admin can only be added via your Framer Team Settings. Follow these steps to give someone else admin privileges.

  1. Log in to your account and find the user who you would like to make your second admin

  2. If this user does not appear on your user list, ask them to download and log in to Framer X using their corporate email address

  3. Locate their name in your user list

  4. Click "Edit" and change their member type to "Admin"

Assigning Seats to Users

Assigning seats can only be done by Account Admins. Follow these steps to give someone full team access to Framer X.

  1. Locate User from list

  2. Click "Type" and change to "User"

Un-assigning Seats

Un-assigning seats can only be done by Account Admins. Follow these steps to remove someone’s team access to Framer X.

  1. Locate User from list

  2. Click "Type" and change to "Unassigned"

Adding Users

  • Enter the new user’s email address (note: the email address must be linked to your company's domain)

  • Press invite

  • The user will receive an email invitation to join your team account

I’ve reached the limit of seats I can assign. How do I add more?

We’re working to add this functionality in the Team Settings UI. For the time being, reach out to your Account Manager to add seats, or email accountmanagement@framer.com.

Why do I have more seats than users in my system?

This just means that some users have not logged in recently, or at least not since your Team Settings Dashboard was enabled. For users to appear in your dashboard list, ask them to download and log in to Framer X using their corporate email address.

My users are showing up as "unassigned", what does this mean? Do I have to manually assign them a seat?

"Unassigned" just indicates that the user has not logged in since your Team Settings dashboard was enabled. You can manually assign each user a seat by following the instructions under "Assigning Seats to Users". Note: our system is set up to automatically enable this the next time that user logs in.

Can I view both Framer Classic and Framer X users?

No, your Team Settings dashboard will only reflect the Framer X users on your plan.

Can I differentiate between Designer and Developer Seats?

How do I revoke my own admin access?

To avoid teams losing access to their Framer Team Settings, admins cannot revoke their admin access. To do so, you need to assign another admin and they can remove your admin access.
